24 weeks

How far along: 24 weeks
Weight gain: 13 lbs
Baby's heartbeat: 150 bpm

Clothes: I love my big flannel pajamas- not sure how much Alex likes them.
Sleep: Hot flashes! I have been waking up 2-3 times a night in a pool of sweat and then five minutes later, I'm fine. Also, I have been having some serious strange dreams. Last night I dreamed about Sponge Bob Square Pants!
Symptoms: back pain, a lot of baby kicks, moodiness, and a big appetite.
Food Cravings: CHEX cereal, waffles, and a McRib sandwich (I have never wanted one in my life because I've always thought they looked disgusting! For baby's sake, I will opt for a regular bbq sandwich)
Food Aversions: none that I can think of
Best Moment this Week: Christmas with Alex, my new kindle fire, and Alex finally feeling Scarlett kick.
Looking Forward to: 2013! Excited for the new year!

23 weeks

Alex said it looks like I'm carrying a basketball under my shirt. I'm afraid it may look like I'm carrying a beach ball in a few weeks!

How far along: 23 weeks

Clothes: My regular shirts and sweaters are getting pretty tight. My shoes are also getting pretty tight and uncomfortable.
Wedding rings: They're getting snug! Eek!
Sleep: I sleep with 3 big pillows-1 for my head and 2 for each side of me. I'm about to add one more to the mix because I want to sleep more propped up. Sleep has been pretty good this week, but I have been noticing Alex stealing my body pillow in the middle of the night. I have to pry it from him most nights now!
Symptoms: A little touch of nausea has come back, my shins and calves are cramping up, my back and sides have also been a bit sore.
Food Cravings: pasta with marinara sauce, Newk's chicken salad sandwiches and salad with balsamic vinaigrette, Cheesecake Factory chocolate tuxedo cheesecake (OMG SO GOOD), bisquick sausage balls, and clementines.
Food Aversions: Thousand Island dressing and spinach/artichoke dip
Best Moments this Week: Spending time with my family, my Aunt Cat's Christmas party, shopping for Scarlett,  mani/pedi with my mom, and tuxedo cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory.
Looking Forward to: Christmas with Alex tomorrow, dinner tomorrow night with good friends, Cara and Jeff, and doctor's appointment on Thursday.

22 weeks

How far along: 22 weeks

Clothes: I've had a few meltdowns trying to figure out what to wear. I battle wanting to look good and dressing comfortable (big stretchy pants, an XL t-shirt, and comfy socks) everyday!
Sleep: I go to sleep cold and wake up sweating! Baby kicks wake me up a lot and I have insane dreams! I had a dream last night that I was visiting China and got arrested because I was caught getting on the train without a ticket. I then escaped and they never found me!
Symptoms: Rib pain, lower back pain, nasal congestion, and dizziness.
Food Cravings: Newk's chicken salad sandwich and salad with balsamic dressing (I'm going there again Thursday!), Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches, chicken fajitas with peppers, lasagna, clementines, sweet potatoes, scrambled eggs and cheese with sriracha hot sauce, and hot chocolate.
Food Aversions: None that I can think of, but I have told Alex that he is no longer allowed to wear a certain cologne because it makes me gag. I used to like it, but even the thought of it makes me sick. I still like his others, so it's just a certain one that I hate.
Best Moment this Week: Volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank, eating at Newk's and then shopping at Target. Also, registering for Scarlett and seeing The Hobbit with Alex yesterday. Oh and I love that Alex will come home from work, kiss me, kiss my belly, and talk to Scarlett by resting his head on my stomach...makes me melt every time!
Looking Forward to: Alex getting a week off for Christmas and seeing my family this weekend.

21 weeks

How far along: 21 weeks

Clothes: My tops are starting to get pretty tight. I'm afraid I'll have to get rid of all of them after the pregnancy because they'll all be stretched out.
Sleep: I'm still enjoying sleep, but I'm having a lot of lower back pain, so it's harder for me to fall asleep and stay asleep. I also will wake up on my back and have cramping, so I have to keep changing positions.
Symptoms: Moodiness, ankles and calves swelling if on my feet too long, lower back pain, serious case of pregnant brain, dizziness, and a big appetite.
Food Cravings: Lasagna, salads with Italian dressing and croutons, clementines, chicken fajitas with a lot of peppers.
Food Aversions: Raw vegetables (I force myself to eat them with a bit of ranch because I know they're good for me)
Best Moment this Week: Our Christmas party that we had at our house, feeling Scarlett's kicks getting stronger, and date night with Alex at Pancho Villa.

20 weeks

Scarlett Kennedy Chandler

The first outfit I bought her (too good of a sale to pass up!)

How far along: 20 weeks
Weight gain: 10 pounds (I'm blaming all the good food on Thanksgiving)
Baby's Heartbeat: 150 bpm
Baby Size: 11 oz.

Maternity Clothes: I need more!
Sleep: In bed by no later than 9:30 pm, but still getting up 3-4 times a night to go to the bathroom. I sleep with a body pillow on each side of me, so Alex is getting less and less space! I still wake up and find myself sleeping on my back, but then I just switch to my side. Overall, I'm sleeping pretty well.
Symptoms: back pain, cramping in lower abdomen, leg cramps, occasional dizziness, and a big appetite!
Food Cravings: Newk's chicken salad sandwich, cutie clementines, salads with croutons and Italian dressing, Alex's amazing bbq ribs (I get them tomorrow!), and Indian food.
Food Aversions: creamy dips with a strong garlic smell/taste, broccoli, and cauliflower.
Best Moment of the Week: Finding out Baby Chandler's sex! We're having a baby girl and naming her Scarlett Kennedy Chandler.

Baby Size Comparison: artichoke

19 weeks

I think I've officially "popped"!
How far along: 19 weeks
Clothes: Give me some comfy stretchy clothes and I'm a happy girl!
Sleep: It's getting much harder for me to fall asleep. I have to go to the bathroom 2-3 before I can even fall asleep (and we all know it's the worst feeling to get out of a warm bed when it's cold to pee!). I have pretty bad nasal congestion so I can't breathe and on top of that I have indigestion, so let's just say it takes me about a hour to fall asleep. Then I finally fall asleep and get woken up by karate kicks from baby Chandler (not Alex or he'd have a black eye), leg cramps, restless legs, and my stomach growling. I finally fall back asleep and I wake up around 3:30 to 4am and have to go to the bathroom again and then I think, "I'm hungry!" Me and Daphne go to the kitchen and eat cheese toast and chocolate milk. I watch the news and go back to bed around 5am. Oh what fun!
Symptoms: Cramps from mucsles stretching in lower belly and around bellybutton, indigestion, leg cramps, nasal congestion, dizziness, and man, can i burp! (may be tmi, but I can out burp any man these days!) Attractive, huh? lol
Food Cravings: Give me a bottle of yellow mustard and vinegar and I'm a happy girl! I also have a mean sweet tooth lately.
Food Aversions: artichoke dip and spinach dip gross me out (they used to be some of my favorites).
Looking Forward to: Finding out Baby Chandler's gender on Tuesday!!! Just keep praying that baby is healthy because I'm a little nervous because I haven't seen baby since 8 weeks. Oh and decorating for Christmas!!
Baby Size Comparison: I think mango.

18 weeks

How far along: 18 weeks

Clothes: Thank goodness for sweat pants!
Sleep: Getting harder for me to fall asleep because of nasal congestion and restless legs.
Symptoms: Headaches, leg cramps, and nasal congestion. Oh and starting to feel the baby! I started feeling flutters last week, but I can really feel them now. I feel them mostly in the evening when I'm sitting on the couch and very still.
Food Cravings: Anything with a strong vinegar taste, mustard, pickles, vegetable soup (made a huge pot last night!), lemonade, butterfinger candy bars, and apples.
Food Aversions: Cauliflower ( I made some tonight...BIG mistake!) The smell and taste is sick! I made Alex get rid of every bit of mine, but he said he loved it and ate it all...so gross!
Miss Anything: Regular jeans, running, sharing a glass of wine with Alex or a good beer, and sleeping on my stomach.
Looking forward to: Thanksgiving on the coast and finding out baby Chandler's gender in 10 days!

Baby Size Comparison: Sweet Potato

17 weeks

How far along: 17 weeks

Clothes: Thank goodness for stretchy clothes!
Symptoms: Fatigue, nasal congestion (weird symptom of pregnancy!), occasional headaches.
Sleep: Getting a little harder for me to get comfortable, so I'm having a harder time falling asleep.
Cravings: Chick-fil-a, salads with croutons and vinegarette dressing, frozen yogurt, cheese dip.
Aversions: Alex spilled his bourbon and coke last night and the smell almost made me throw up! Can't stand that smell! (better stay away from Alabama tailgate parties!)
Missing Anything: Sleeping on my stomach, my waistline, glass of wine, and being extremely productive (have to take breaks between tasks because I get tired so quick).
Looking forward to: Nice quiet weekend with Alex and finding out gender Nov 27th!

Baby Size Comparison: Onion (i'd have to say this is the least cute food they can compare a baby to)

16 weeks

How far along: 16 weeks
Weight Gain: 4lbs
Baby's Hb: 160
Clothes: Maternity jeans. Some fitted tops of mine are getting a bit snug.
Sleep: Very good sleep with my usual bathroom trips. I'm now wearing a sleep mask and it makes it even better! Sleeping on my side is the most comfortable, but i have to have a body pillow. I never sleep on my stomach like I used to because it's uncomfortable and I occasionally find myself sleeping on my back.
Symptoms: Indigestion, fatigue, occasional cramps, and headaches.
Food Cravings: chick-fil-a chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, tomato based foods, and olive garden salad. Oh, and the smell of vinegar is my new favorite smell!
Food Aversions: none this week, just hungry all the time!
Looking forward to: Alabama v. LSU football party at our house and finding out baby Chandler's gender Nov. 27th!

15 weeks

Tired and wasn't too excited for the picture...

How far along: 15 weeks

Clothes: Rocking the maternity jeans! Alex's mom took me shopping and helped me find a cute pair and i must say...so much more comfortable! Also, getting a little frustrated with trying on clothes, but getting excited about my growing bump. Oh and Alex said, "Hey, I'm starting to see the belly!" after he got home from work tonight. I'm growing fast!
Sleep: yes, please! Sleeping very well, but a lot of bathroom trips and crazy vivid dreams!
Symptoms: Occasional nausea, headaches, mild cramps below belly, easily fatigued, emotional, and a bit short of breath after small tasks.
Food cravings: Chick-fil-a, lemonade, salads with croutons & Italian dressing, and apples.
Food aversions: water (makes me gag!) and creamy chicken stuff.
Looking forward to: Cara and Jeff's Halloween party this weekend! Have to figure out our costumes!

Baby Size Comparison: Large Navel Orange

14 weeks

Daphne wanted to be in the picture too.
Fun date night at Uptown Art Uncorked.

How far along: 14 weeks
Clothes: even my new jeans are getting too tight! I just bought a pair a couple weeks ago thinking that they would last me a while, but boy was I wrong. They are fine for a few hours, but by the end of the day, I have to unbutton them when I sit. This baby is growing fast! Alex says I should wear "big dresses or overalls" hahah...yea right! But flattered that he would still think I'm cute in overalls lol.
Sleep: Already frustrated with how many times I get up in the night to use the bathroom (3-4 times). I've still got a long way to go! But overall, sleep is still very good. I want to sleep quite a bit and have crazy dreams!
Symptoms: Still having a touch of nausea now and then. It is mostly in the evenings. Everything makes me tired. For instance, I can do a load of laundry and feel like I just went for a quick jog. It is so weird feeling tired and out of breath after such simple tasks. I'm also starting to have some growing pains in my lower abdomen. They come and go in waves, but I think they are "round ligament pains". Also having a serious case of "pregnant brain". I can't remember anything and I can forget what I'm saying mid sentence.
Food Cravings: Not really having any.
Food Aversions: none that I can think of, but certain smells still make me sick. Not a fan of sweet smelling stuff, but LOVE the smell of Clorox bleach, celery (weird, I know), laundry detergent, and Pledge furniture polish.
Looking forward to: Next doctor's visit and in-laws visiting this weekend.

13 weeks

Dressed up for our 2 year anniversary :)

How far along: 13 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 2 pounds
Clothes: I now have to use a rubber band to wear my favorite skinny jeans...but that's not going to happen, so I just bought bigger pair of stretchy skinny jeans.
Christie and I went shopping this past Saturday and that is when I figured out they would no longer button, so unfortunately i had to wear the jeans with a rubber band and needless to say I couldn't even zip them. I was paranoid all day because my shirt kept riding up to reveal my secret. I finally found some wonderful jeans at Old Navy and found a place where I could change right away. I literally let out a big "Ahhhhh" in the stall after changing.
Symptoms: For the entire first trimester, I felt like hell. I literally felt like a zombie. I could easily sleep all day and if you know me pretty well, you know that I like to wake up early, stay active, and I hate naps. Well...I am now the opposite. I want to sleep a lot, sleep in, and I have to force myself to do anything. My mom said, it sounds like your "give a damn" is broken and up until now, I'd say that was pretty accurate.
On top of feeling exhausted, I was feeling nauseous all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME. I would have to force myself to eat (but i still have managed to gain 2 pounds, lucky me :/ ). I've only thrown up a few times, but that is because I've gotten pretty good at controlling the gag reflex. Sounds fun huh?

I have to admit, now that I am in my 2nd trimester, I feel better. I was worried there for a bit, because I really thought I was never going to feel better. I am now feeling more up to doing things, not quite as sleepy, and I only experience nausea in the evening and when I take the dreaded prenatal vitamins (I HATE those things). Oh, and I cry. A lot. I cry when I see a sweet/sad commercial, I cry when I hear a song a like (I've actually cried to a catchy pop song), and even go from crying to laughing and then back again. I look at it as a natural eye lubricant to help with my fall allergies :).
Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty well. I have to get up 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom which is no fun. But I will say, now that I've gotten pregnant, Alex lets me take up more of the bed and it feels soooo good. I have also stolen his feather pillow to use as a body pillow because sleeping on my stomach like I used to just feels bad. So overall, sleep for me: very good. Sleep for Alex: Ok i guess on his 1/4 of the bed :)
Food Cravings: Sweet and then salty. Salty then sweet. It's hard to pick a certain food, because I am hungry ALL the time and it is a different food each time. The most constant thing I've been craving is chips and queso and foods from my childhood (cheese toast and chunky applesauce, cream of wheat, chocolate milk, and the list goes on...)
Food Aversions: Not a fan of carrots, broccoli, or water right now (let's just say not a fan of healthy foods, but I force myself to eat/drink them). And when it comes to smells, I make Alex spray his cologne in another room because the smell is way too intense.
Looking forward to: The next doctor's appointment to hear the baby's heartbeat again and the nausea going away completely.
