15 weeks

Tired and wasn't too excited for the picture...

How far along: 15 weeks

Clothes: Rocking the maternity jeans! Alex's mom took me shopping and helped me find a cute pair and i must say...so much more comfortable! Also, getting a little frustrated with trying on clothes, but getting excited about my growing bump. Oh and Alex said, "Hey, I'm starting to see the belly!" after he got home from work tonight. I'm growing fast!
Sleep: yes, please! Sleeping very well, but a lot of bathroom trips and crazy vivid dreams!
Symptoms: Occasional nausea, headaches, mild cramps below belly, easily fatigued, emotional, and a bit short of breath after small tasks.
Food cravings: Chick-fil-a, lemonade, salads with croutons & Italian dressing, and apples.
Food aversions: water (makes me gag!) and creamy chicken stuff.
Looking forward to: Cara and Jeff's Halloween party this weekend! Have to figure out our costumes!

14 weeks

Daphne wanted to be in the picture too.
Fun date night at Uptown Art Uncorked.

How far along: 14 weeks
Clothes: even my new jeans are getting too tight! I just bought a pair a couple weeks ago thinking that they would last me a while, but boy was I wrong. They are fine for a few hours, but by the end of the day, I have to unbutton them when I sit. This baby is growing fast! Alex says I should wear "big dresses or overalls" hahah...yea right! But flattered that he would still think I'm cute in overalls lol.
Sleep: Already frustrated with how many times I get up in the night to use the bathroom (3-4 times). I've still got a long way to go! But overall, sleep is still very good. I want to sleep quite a bit and have crazy dreams!
Symptoms: Still having a touch of nausea now and then. It is mostly in the evenings. Everything makes me tired. For instance, I can do a load of laundry and feel like I just went for a quick jog. It is so weird feeling tired and out of breath after such simple tasks. I'm also starting to have some growing pains in my lower abdomen. They come and go in waves, but I think they are "round ligament pains". Also having a serious case of "pregnant brain". I can't remember anything and I can forget what I'm saying mid sentence.
Food Cravings: Not really having any.
Food Aversions: none that I can think of, but certain smells still make me sick. Not a fan of sweet smelling stuff, but LOVE the smell of Clorox bleach, celery (weird, I know), laundry detergent, and Pledge furniture polish.
Looking forward to: Next doctor's visit and in-laws visiting this weekend.

13 weeks

Dressed up for our 2 year anniversary :)

How far along: 13 weeks

Total Weight Gain: 2 pounds
Clothes: I now have to use a rubber band to wear my favorite skinny jeans...but that's not going to happen, so I just bought bigger pair of stretchy skinny jeans.
Christie and I went shopping this past Saturday and that is when I figured out they would no longer button, so unfortunately i had to wear the jeans with a rubber band and needless to say I couldn't even zip them. I was paranoid all day because my shirt kept riding up to reveal my secret. I finally found some wonderful jeans at Old Navy and found a place where I could change right away. I literally let out a big "Ahhhhh" in the stall after changing.
Symptoms: For the entire first trimester, I felt like hell. I literally felt like a zombie. I could easily sleep all day and if you know me pretty well, you know that I like to wake up early, stay active, and I hate naps. Well...I am now the opposite. I want to sleep a lot, sleep in, and I have to force myself to do anything. My mom said, it sounds like your "give a damn" is broken and up until now, I'd say that was pretty accurate.
On top of feeling exhausted, I was feeling nauseous all the time. I mean ALL THE TIME. I would have to force myself to eat (but i still have managed to gain 2 pounds, lucky me :/ ). I've only thrown up a few times, but that is because I've gotten pretty good at controlling the gag reflex. Sounds fun huh?

I have to admit, now that I am in my 2nd trimester, I feel better. I was worried there for a bit, because I really thought I was never going to feel better. I am now feeling more up to doing things, not quite as sleepy, and I only experience nausea in the evening and when I take the dreaded prenatal vitamins (I HATE those things). Oh, and I cry. A lot. I cry when I see a sweet/sad commercial, I cry when I hear a song a like (I've actually cried to a catchy pop song), and even go from crying to laughing and then back again. I look at it as a natural eye lubricant to help with my fall allergies :).
Sleep: I've been sleeping pretty well. I have to get up 2-3 times a night to use the bathroom which is no fun. But I will say, now that I've gotten pregnant, Alex lets me take up more of the bed and it feels soooo good. I have also stolen his feather pillow to use as a body pillow because sleeping on my stomach like I used to just feels bad. So overall, sleep for me: very good. Sleep for Alex: Ok i guess on his 1/4 of the bed :)
Food Cravings: Sweet and then salty. Salty then sweet. It's hard to pick a certain food, because I am hungry ALL the time and it is a different food each time. The most constant thing I've been craving is chips and queso and foods from my childhood (cheese toast and chunky applesauce, cream of wheat, chocolate milk, and the list goes on...)
Food Aversions: Not a fan of carrots, broccoli, or water right now (let's just say not a fan of healthy foods, but I force myself to eat/drink them). And when it comes to smells, I make Alex spray his cologne in another room because the smell is way too intense.
Looking forward to: The next doctor's appointment to hear the baby's heartbeat again and the nausea going away completely.
